Apply to be a Sloan Scholar now!

The goal of this program is to support students from historically-marginalized groups to pursue doctoral training in the physical sciences.

The definition of “historically-marginalized groups” is derived from data and analyses carried out by the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. This definition broadly includes identities of race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, as well as physical ability and socioeconomic background.

Appointed Scholars will be asked to complete a TxStCU_Sloan_MOU, which outlines expectations of Scholar activities and performance.

To fully apply to the Sloan Scholars program, you will need:

• TxStCU_Sloan_Application_2023 (emailed to Karen.Lewis@txstate.edu)
• Two letters of reference from professors (emailed to Karen.Lewis@txstate.edu)

Applications for Cohort 2 (2023-2025) are due Sept 15, 2023
